My semester project: writing all of my friends that are on their missions. This is my binder that I have set up for all of the letters.

Don't judge me if I have them all organized by person and date.

I have to keep them organized. There's like 15 of them!

What an exciting week it has been!

My classes are going AMAZING!

Have I ever mentioned before I love plants? Okay, I know I have but I'm doing it again. Get over it.

For one of my classes we get to go outside on campus and just look at all of the plants. For over an hour. With a teacher that knows everything there is to know about plants.

It's pretty much a dream.

I'm learning Latin for that class. Learning the scientific names of plants sounds better in theory. It's pretty difficult.

This is just a really, really cool plant we are learning right now. Its name is Chasmanthium latifolium. Try saying that 5 times fast. (You can also call it Northern Sea Oats, but that's not as fun.)

In that class I have learned where to go get some strawberries growing on campus, and if you ever have a hankering for garlic, I know where to get some of that growing on campus too.

Anyway, enough about plants. (Actually there can never be enough about plants, but you are getting bored. I can just tell.)

I went on a date last night! It was super fun! I went ice skating, and then we drove up to the Island and looked at all of the ginormous houses up there. (Well, he looked at the houses, I looked at the Landscapes. Oops, that was about plants. Sorry.)

AND! It was email day for the best friend! I love hearing from him.

What a wonderful week! I am so blessed!

P.S. Edelweiss is a white flower found in the Alps. How cool is that? The things you learn when you google "Songs about flowers"

He left the MTC yesterday. He's in Canada now! I can't believe it has only been 2 months.

I miss him all of the time.

Why does he have to be such a good person and do what is right??

Oh yeah, its one of the reasons I love him.

Coming Back To You

So, in case any of you out there were wondering, I am not dead. 

I just was working.

So pretty much dead.

Anywho,

I am back at school and living the dream.

I've got my best friend, my plants, and good food. What more could a girl ask for? 

Oh yeah, my ward is awesome. Plus the fraternity "Sig Ep" is in my ward and they are great. 

Here we are. In our lovely little cave.

So. Goals for this semester:

1. Go to a fraternity party at Sig Ep. (I know, sounds sketch, but they are a dry fraternity. And they are almost all in my ward.)

2. Get straight A's. (This will happen.)

3. Sleep a reasonable amount. (What's reasonable for college? None? Okay.)

4. Take silly pictures with McKenz. (Done. See the following.)

5. Grow my Testimony. (I'm still working on it.)

6. Write my best friend. (I'm in love, I'm in love, and I don't care who knows it! Okay, I don't know about love, but I do know that I absolutely ADORE getting letters from him.)

Okay, now that that is out of the way, let me turn into a girl for like 3 minutes. 

You know that old saying, "You look like you lost your best friend?"

My family has been saying that to me for the past week.

Because it's true. I really have lost my best friend. (For 2 years at least)

BUT...

To a good thing. He's going on his mission to Edmonton, Canada and speaking spanish. 

I am so proud of him! He is going to do amazing things and I am just lucky to be able to hear about the experiences and the people he is teaching. 

Who knows. 

Maybe I'll still be available in 2 years. 

Probably...

And it is what I am trying to achieve everyday.

I'm pretty happy right now.
